How to keep Fanatics Inventory EDI 846 accurate.

Here are the step you need to follow in Impress Customer Maintenance.

  1. When you enter the new UPC, you set it to “INACTIVE.”
  2. When the 10-digit Customer SKU is received from Fanatics (entered in Impress) AND the valid collegiate license approved, you set he flag to “Active”.
    1. This step activated the GD/SKU on their website.
  3. When the license expires or we no longer can sell GD and SKU combination, you set the flag to ZERO
    1. This step removes the GD/SKU from the Fanatics website selection.
  4. Optionally, you can set the GD/SKU to “inactive” ONLY when:
    1. AFTER the inventory update XML file updates Fanatics website with the 0 (ZERO) available
    2. The XML (EDI846) file runs daily before 8 am
    3. It is required that we send at least ONE zero inventory update.
    4. Since the file is huge and it may be failing on the Fanatics side I would wait a week to make a change.
    5. This step makes this file smaller and easier to upload for Fanatics.
