First time Multi-Factor Authentication

First time Multi-Factor Authentication

Welcome to Vantage Apparel!

We're excited to have you on board. As a part of our commitment to maintaining a secure and reliable environment, we require all employees to set up Microsoft 365 Multifactor Authentication (MFA) for accessing remote services like the FortiClient VPN, Citrix Gateway, and for password reset purposes. This extra layer of security ensures the protection of our sensitive data and supports our efforts in maintaining the highest standards of cybersecurity.

Here's a step-by-step guide to help you get started with setting up Microsoft 365 MFA:

**Step 1: Download Microsoft Authenticator**

1. On your mobile device, visit the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).

2. Search for "Microsoft Authenticator" and download the app.

3. Once downloaded, open the app.

**Step 2: Configure Microsoft Authenticator for MFA**

1. Log in to your Office 365 account using a web browser on your computer.

2. Navigate to office.com and enter your login credentials.

3. After logging in, click on your profile picture or initials in the top right corner.

4. Select "View account."

5. On the left-hand side, click on "Security & Privacy."

6. Under "Additional security verification," click on "Update your phone numbers used for account security."

7. Follow the prompts to add your mobile number.

8. Click on "Set up Authenticator app" and select your device type (iOS or Android).

9. Scan the QR code using the Microsoft Authenticator app on your mobile device.

**Step 3: Self-Service Password Reset**

1. In case you forget your password or need to reset it, you can use the Self-Service Password Reset feature.

2. On the Office 365 login page, click on "Can't access your account?"

3. Choose the option "Work or school account."

4. Follow the prompts to verify your identity and reset your password.

With Microsoft 365 MFA and Self-Service Password Reset in place, you're all set to access remote services and manage your account securely.

Thank you for your commitment to maintaining a secure environment at Vantage Apparel!
