Zultys Advanced Communicator (ZAC) User Guide

Introduction

Zultys Advanced Communicator (ZAC) is an all-in-one Unified Communications and Integrated Contact Center platform designed to enhance communication and collaboration. This guide provides step-by-step instructions for customer service managers to effectively use ZAC.

Getting Started with ZAC

  1. Logging into ZAC:

    • Open the ZAC application on your desktop or laptop.
    • Enter your username and password. Phone system credentials are different from your computer login.
    • Click "Login".
  2. Modifying Your Presence State:

    • Click on your profile picture or name at the top of the ZAC window.
    • Select the desired presence state from the dropdown menu (e.g., Available, Busy, Do Not Disturb).
  3. Navigating ZAC:

    • Main Tabs: Familiarize yourself with the main tabs (e.g., Contacts, Call Log, Messages).
    • Mini Mode to Expanded Mode: Switch between mini and expanded modes using the icon at the top right corner of the ZAC window.

Call Handling

  1. Making a Call:

    • Go to the "Contacts" tab.
    • Click on the contact you wish to call.
    • Click the phone icon to initiate the call.
  2. Handling Incoming Calls:

    • When a call comes in, a pop-up will appear.
    • Click "Answer" to take the call or "Reject" to decline.
  3. Options While on a Call:

    • Mute/Unmute: Click the microphone icon.
    • Hold/Resume: Click the hold button to place the call on hold and the resume button to continue.
    • Transfer: Click the transfer button, enter the destination number, and complete the transfer.

Managing Groups and Contacts

  1. Creating and Managing Groups:

    • Go to the "Contacts" tab.
    • Click the group icon to create a new group.
    • Add members by selecting contacts and dragging them into the group.
  2. Buddy Lists:

    • Click on the "Buddy List" tab.
    • Add contacts by clicking the plus icon and selecting the desired contacts.
